Community-based volunteer doula program matches low-income mothers with a birth and/or postpartum doula. Birth doulas provide three prenatal visits, attend the birth, and provide three postpartum visits. Postpartum doulas provide a minimum of eight hours of in-home support, more if the need is strong. Volunteers welcome, especially bi-lingual women, and some scholarships for doula training available.
