Double bill. The New Hip is a progressive bluegrass band led by West Virginia bassist Raines, a 7-time winner of the IBMA Bass Player of the Year award. It music fuses bluegrass with jazz, funk, and pop idioms. Fronted by the dual lead vocals of multi- instrumentalists Scott McCormick and Aaron Keim, Boulder Acoustic Society is a heralded young alt-folk string quartet whose pulsing, groove-oriented music blends Appalachian, gospel, and contemporary urban soundscapes. $15.
