The Ark: The Spring Standards
Country-flavored pop-rock with lots of ringing 3-part vocal harmonies by James Cleare, James Smith, and Heather Robb, a trio of NYC singer-songwriters and multi-instrumentalists. In performance, each handles part of the drum kit while playing at least one other instrument. Cleare and Smith alternate between bass (and kick drum) and guitar (and high hat and sometimes harmonica), while Robb switches among melodica, keyboards, and glockenspiel, while keeping time on the snare drum. $10 (Students with ID, free).
The Blind Pig: The Hard Lessons
Nationally acclaimed Detroit trio fronted by vocalist Korin Louise Visocchi that plays soulful, swaggering guitar- and organ-driven rock ’n’ roll. Opening acts TBA Advance tickets: $8 ($12 includes Sept. 11 Secret Twins show).
Crazy Wisdom Tea Room: Sigrid Christiansen
Pop-folk Detroit-area singer-songwriter known for her sweet, ethereal voice and haunting lyrics.

Goodnite Gracie: Drivin’ Sideways
Veteran local band fueled by Pontiac Pete Ferguson’s alternately soulful and ornery vocals. Their country-based repertoire still features lots of classic honky-tonk, but they also cover everyone from Chuck Berry and Johnny Burnette to the Beatles and James Brown. With guitarist George Bedard, bassist Chris G, drummer Mark Newbound, and keyboardist Jim King. 6-9:30 p.m.
