The Blind Pig:
The Cult Heroes.
Pioneering local punk band led by vocalist Hiawatha Bailey that's been riding its own rock 'n' roll maelstrom for more than two decades. Opening acts are Mazinga, a veteran Ypsilanti band that plays rough, raw, Detroit-style rock 'n' roll, and The 77s, an Ypsilanti band that plays loud, raucous, melodic, bluesy, surf-guitar rockabilly.

Rock 'n' roll covers and originals by this popular, veteran band from Dearborn.

Local psychedelic rock band. Opening act is Vox Maui, a Detroit psychedelic rock quartet with an avant-jazz edge.

The Witch Doctors
This local blues and R&B band led by singer-guitarist Thayrone, best known as the host of the nationally syndicated Bone Conduction Music Show, plays what Thayrone calls "way-strong mojo, ritualistic barroom blues healing."

Detroit singer-songwriter and poet, a member of the 2002 national champion Detroit Slam Team whose rhythmically insistent self-styled "urban folk" songs span a variety of genres, from acoustic folk and pop to garage and electronica. He has a new CD, Warzone.
Dreamland Theater:

This new Ypsilanti pickle business celebrates its opening with a show headlined by Georgio "The Dove" Valentino, a Detroit experimental indie-pop band led by singer-songwriter Valentino. Opening acts are the Ypsilanti edgy glam-rock band Manhole, Ypsilanti acoustic pop-folk singer-songwriter Favorite Daughter, the Chicago glam-rock and classic rock band Two-Legged Spaceship, and others TBA. Pickle samples. 8-11 p.m. or later.

Chicago-style blues by band led by veteran Detroit blues harpist Shah. The opening set features guest frontman John Sinclair, an Ann Arbor counterculture legend currently living in New Orleans who makes a rare local appearance to perform his blues- and jazz-steeped poetry.

Ypsilanti punkabilly metal quintet led by singer-guitarist Leighton Mann. Opening acts are Broadzilla, a popular all-female hardcore thrash band from Detroit with an infectious sense of humor, and Gepetto Files, an idiosyncratic local marionette troupe that specializes in off-the-wall, postpunk explorations of American cultural archetypes that are simultaneously weird, hilarious, provocative, sophomoric, and haunting.
