This Ypsilanti tavern features live music and/or DJs Mon.-Thurs., 9 p.m.-1 a.m., and Fri. & Sat., 10 p.m.-2 a.m. Also, occasional Sun., 8 p.m.-midnight. No cover ($5 suggested donation), dancing.

December 2: "Tiki Tuesday."

The Elbow Room Tiki Tuesday band plays surf music and various exotica. Also, performance by the belly dancer Aurora and magician Scarboni.

December 3: Hana Malhas

Local singer-songwriter, originally from Jordan, who writes intimate, thoughtful songs and accompanies herself on piano, guitar, and occasionally violin. Opening acts are The Ferdy Mayne, an Ypsilanti folk-rock trio, and Remote Luxury, a Detroit acoustic ambient band.

December 4: "MoFo Karaoke."

December 5: The New Green

Local pop-folk octet led by singer-songwriter Steven Clausnitzer that's been compared to the Beatles, Wilco, and Sufjan Stevens. Opening acts are Your Best Friend, a Saginaw rock quartet, and Kaslo, an Athens, Ohio, folk-rock sextet.

December 6: "Rock and Rummage"

A variety of rummage vendors, with music by DJ Scarboni.

December 7: Old Man Underground.

DJ duo that plays an incendiary mix of garage, punk, hip-hop, indie, metal, glam and rock 'n' roll.

December 9: Direct Hits Mod Club

DJ collective that plays vintage British pop and soul.

December 10: Jameson Blade

Pop-folk singer-songwriter from Clarkston. Opening acts are Adam M. Arscott, a local singer-songwriter who is part of the alt-country duo Bone Orchard Revival, and Gi Gi Allyn, an Ypsilanti acoustic pop-folk duo.

December 11: "MoFo Karaoke."

December 12: The Satin Peaches.

Commerce, Michigan, rock 'n' roll quartet. Opening acts are Wildcatting. Ypsilanti metal-rock band, and Dark Dark Dark, a pop-folk quartet from Minneapolis fronted by singer-songwriters Nona Marie Invie and Marshall LaCount.

December 13: Which Way Is Home

Detroit quartet that plays emo-tinged pop-rock. Opening acts are the Ypsilanti funk-rock trio Looking for Mammoths, the New York indie rock band Finding Fiction, and the Michigan pop band Solitary States.

December 14: Old Man Underground

DJ duo that plays an incendiary mix of garage, punk, hip-hop, indie, metal, glam and rock 'n' roll.

December 17: The Johnny Timbers.

Experimental garage band from Grosse Ile. Opening acts are Lay of the Cid, a Grand Rapids postpunk rock trio, and Trace the Veins, an Ypsilanti punk-rock quartet.

December 18: "MoFo Karaoke."

December 19: The State

Veteran local hardcore band fronted by the stentorian vocals of singer-poet Preston Woodward. Opening acts are First Offense, an Akron punk-rock band, and Anguish, a Detroit punk-metal band.

December 20: Dropjaw

Reunion of this melodic Ypsilanti emocore band. Opening acts are the Plain Dealers, the Grand Rapids punk band Cain Marko, and the Pinckney indie rock band Valentine.

December 30: "Club Fit"

Indie rock dance party with DJs Ayron Michael Nelson and Louis P.

December 31: "New Year's Eve Dance Party"

With bands TBA.
